Are you a connector, builder, and change-maker who knows how to bring people together around a shared purpose?
Do you believe every young person deserves the opportunity to find their path - whether that path leads to college, a credential, a career, entrepreneurship, or meaningful employment?
The Brazoria County Opportunity Youth Reconnection Network is looking for a dynamic, collaborative leader to serve as its Director and help lead a countywide effort focused on reconnecting young people ages 16–24 with education, training, employment, supportive services, and pathways to long-term economic mobility.
This is an opportunity to help build something that can have a lasting impact across Brazoria County.
As Director, you will bring together schools, colleges, workforce organizations, employers, nonprofits, healthcare providers, faith communities, public agencies, funders, and community leaders around one important goal:
Helping young people reconnect to opportunity - and stay connected.
You will lead implementation of the Network's Strategic Roadmap and Five-Year Implementation Plan while strengthening the partnerships, systems, resources, and community connections that make successful reconnection possible.
You'll serve as a strategist, relationship builder, convener, and hands-on implementer, including:
Building and strengthening partnerships across Brazoria County
Leading implementation of the Opportunity Youth Strategic Roadmap
Connecting young people with education, training, career, and employment pathways
Strengthening the Network's Digital Front Door and navigation system
Working with community partners to identify and remove barriers to participation and success
Expanding connections with employers and work-based learning opportunities
Ensuring youth voice and lived experience help shape the Network's work
Using data and outcomes to identify gaps, improve services, and demonstrate impact
Supporting the Youth Advisory Council and meaningful youth engagement
Serving as a visible ambassador for the Network throughout the community
Developing sustainability strategies and helping identify grants, philanthropic support, employer investment, and other resources
Keeping partners connected, informed, accountable, and moving toward shared goals
We're looking for someone who can see the big picture without losing sight of the people behind the numbers.
You may be a great fit if you:
Naturally build relationships and bring people together
Know how to turn ideas and strategic plans into action
Can lead across organizations even when everyone doesn't report to you
Are comfortable moving between a boardroom, community meeting, employer conversation, and youth listening session
Understand how education, workforce development, community resources, and economic opportunity intersect
Use data to ask better questions and improve results
Communicate with credibility, warmth, and purpose
Can manage multiple priorities while keeping people focused on the larger mission
Believe deeply in the potential of young people
A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree is preferred. Successful candidates will also bring demonstrated leadership experience in areas such as education, workforce development, youth development, nonprofit leadership, public administration, economic development, community development, or a related field.
Experience leading complex, multi-partner initiatives is particularly important. Familiarity with Brazoria County and the Greater Houston education, workforce, employer, nonprofit, or civic landscape is a strong plus.
The Brazoria County Opportunity Youth Reconnection Network isn't designed to replace the great work already happening throughout our community.
It's designed to connect it. Strengthen it. Make it easier to navigate. And help more young people benefit from it.
If you're energized by building partnerships, solving complex community challenges, creating opportunity, and turning a shared vision into measurable results, we'd love to hear from you.
Come help us build a stronger network - and stronger pathways to opportunity for Brazoria County's young people.
